Salesforce CPQ Specialist exam has been built for professionals with experience of implementing the Salesforce CPQ solution. This credential is specifically designed toward the Salesforce customers, partners, and Salesforce employees who wish to showcase their skills and knowledge to design, build, and implement quoting flows through the Salesforce CPQ platform. As a Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist, you will develop the ability to build bundle configurations, pricing, output documents and renewals, and amendments.

Who should take the exam?

Candidates planning to take Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist should have experience with the Salesforce CPQ platform, CPQ terminology, and can troubleshoot and solve basic platform issues. In general, Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist should have 1 year of experience as a CPQ Specialist. The Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist candidate has experience with the Salesforce CPQ solution, and develop skills and knowledge of the following concepts including - 

• Configuring bundles (features, options, option constraints, configuration attributes) and product rules.
• Configuring price rules using lookup objects and formula fields, and understand the quote calculation sequence and quote line pricing fields.
• Identifying appropriate pricing method (discount schedules, block pricing, contracted prices, subscription pricing, per cent-of-total).
• Configuring a dynamic quote template using quote terms, line columns, template sections and content.
• Generating renewal and amendment quotes.
• Troubleshooting and solving basic product rules, pricing issues, and data flow.
• Utilizing the ordering and contracting process.
• Managing products, pricebooks, and pricebook entries.
• Configuring user permissions, record types, page layouts, and field sets.
• Should be familiar with native and advanced approvals.
• Knowledge of CPQ object data model (object relationships, twin fields, data migration, localization).
• Knowledge about CPQ package level settings and managed package considerations.
• Configuring search filters, and custom actions for product selection and configuration.
