PDUs are the measuring units which are used for quantifying professional development as part of CCR (continuing certification requirement).
In case you fail the certification exam then you can give 3 times within 1 year. Fees are associated with a retake of the exam.

You need to earn 60 professional development units (PDUs) every three year to maintain PgMP certification.

In PMI the audits are conducted specifically to check the education and experience on the certification application. It takes one week to complete the process verifying documents and evidence. After the completion of audit you will be able to complete your PgMP certification application.
For PgMP certification exam candidates should hold a secondary degree which can associate or school level diploma with having 10500 hours experience in program management with 6000 hours of experience in project management. And if you hold a bachelor degree of 4 years then it is required to have 6000 hours of experience in program management and 6000 hours of project management experience.
