- Master’s or doctorate degree: 5 years waived
- Candidates must have worked in a full-time, paid role, and experience from other ASQ certifications (such as Certified Quality Engineer or Quality Auditor) may count toward eligibility.

The CSQP exam assesses candidates on their understanding of supplier management, risk mitigation, performance monitoring, and compliance. The exam format includes:
- Computer-Based Exam: 165 multiple-choice questions (150 scored, 15 unscored), 4.5-hour duration
