The VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization 2020 (VCP-NV 2020) has retired and replaced by VCP-NV 2021
The VCP-NV 2020 certification verifies that the candidate can transform the economics of network and security operations of any company. VCP-NV 2020 certification validates the ability to install, configure, and administer NSX virtual networking implementations, regardless of the underlying physical architecture.
The Professional NSX-T Data Center 3.0 exam leads to the certification of VCP-NV whereby the candidate is able to install, configure, setup, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of software-defined networks based on VMware’s NSX-T 3.0 Data Center.

Exam Pre-requisites
Since VCP-NV is a professional level certification, it is required to pass and get certified with the associate level exam before it. Therefore, VCA-DBT certification is the pre-requisite for VCP-NV certification.

There is a week’s (7 day) waiting period after all failed attempts for proctored VMware Certified Professional (VCP) exam. Once a candidate passes a proctored exam, they cannot take that exam again until a new major exam’s revised version is released.
Recertification Policy
VMware certifications do not have any mandatory requirement for recertification.
