Risk Based Inspection Professional (API 580)
The Risk Based Inspection Professional (API 580) examination is specially designed for inspectors, engineers, and petrochemical industry professionals among these programs. After completing this certification you will have a piece of wide knowledge, full understanding, and a high level of proficiency in the Risked Based Inspection (RBI) profession. However, in order to have this certification, you need to meet the requirements set by API and pass the formal exams at an authorized API examination center.
Exam Prerequisites for API 580
You are required to have API 510, 570 or 653. However, if you don’t have any of these certifications, in that case you can the qualification is based on a combination of your level of education and industry experience acquired within the last 10 years. Exam Details
The API 580 examination consists of 80 questions, of which only 70 are scored. The remaining 10 are pretest, which is not scored. The total time duration for the examination is 3.25 hours. Also, All questions are multiple-choice and closed-book. Paper and reference materials are not allowed into the examinations. This examination will cost you around $315 if you are an API member. The fee for non- member is $365.
