It is very easy to share your reports and dashboards with coworkers and friends at some point using Power BI, publishing and sharing your reports and dashboards. Some of the important tasks involved are –

Ways to Share and collaborate with colleagues in Power BI
- First, publish your reports from Power BI Desktop to the Power BI service.
- Second, create Apps that package a dashboard, report, and dataset to send to your colleagues, who can use the content pack as a starting point and further enhance it.
- Next, create Groups, which you can use as a security model to identify a subset of users who have access to dashboards, reports, and datasets that you create.
- Lastly, publish to the web so that live reports can be embedded in a webpage.
Publish Power BI Desktop Reports
The Power BI perform packages the report and data, including visualizations, queries, and custom measures, and thereby uploads them to the Power BI service. In general, Power BI Desktop reports are also referred to as .pbix files, an extension given in Microsoft Windows. Thereafter, when the upload is complete, a dialogue box appears, to confirm the success of the publishing process, and provides a link to your report in the Power BI service.
