There is no prerequisite required to take the exam.

There will be 40 questions which have to be completed in 60 minutes in this exam.

How can I take an ITIL exam?
There are two routes towards obtaining the ITIL Foundation certificate – you can sit the exams at the end of a training course with an Accredited Training Organization (ATO), or study privately and then book the exam without a training course via PeopleCert.
Is ITIL exam difficult?
Admittedly the ITIL Foundation Exam is not that difficult. With proper study and revision, aspirants will be able to pass the exam in the first time.
Is there any negative marking in the exam?
There is no negative marking in the exam.
Can I get extra time if the exam is in a non-native language?
Candidates taking the exam in a language that is not their native or working language may be awarded 25% extra time, i.e. 75 minutes in total.

Successful candidates can join My AXELOS and claim a digital badge linked to their certification.
What are the ways to prepare for ITIL 4 Foundation exam?
1. Analyze certification path for your day to day job and career aspirations.
2. Get your ITIL terminologies clear. It will prepare you to understand the more complex aspects of further modules.
3. Learn concepts of ITIL and try to relate everything you learn.
4. Go through sample papers to understand the exam format. And take as many as practice test papers.

How can I obtain a replacement certificate?
Candidates can obtain a replacement certificate by completing their exams with PeopleCert.
What happens if I fail an exam?
If you fail an examination, you will be able to participate in another examination session (there is no limit to the number of times you retake the examination)
How can I access my e-learning course?
You will be sent an email with login details for our digital learning portal, and then all you need is an internet connection! We recommend a minimum size of a tablet when accessing our content on a mobile device – content will not display correctly on a mobile phone.
IS ITIL Foundation mandatory for candidates?
AXELOS has not mandated training for ITIL Foundation, however, candidates are advised to take part in training to fully understand the new material and prepare for the exam.
