The IC-38 exam is conducted by the Insurance Institute of India as a pre-recruitment qualification exam on behalf of IRDAI for candidates who want to become an IRDAI Agent or an Insurance Advisor.

  • The candidate should have passed the 10th standard if residing in a place with a population of less than 5000
10. What is the training period required for taking the IC-38 exam?

The candidates should have completed 50 hours of training from an IRDAI-approved training center to act as a Life/General Insurance agent. The candidates who are seeking a license for the first time have to complete 75 hours of training.

11. Is there any negative marking system in this exam?

There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

12. What is the renewable procedure of the IC-38 certificate?

Candidates are not required to give the exam again but they have to undergo practical training of 25 hours in order to renew the certificate.
