Before embarking on any adventure, one must have a clear understanding of what he or she is getting into.. Therefore here are some FAQs to help you clarify all your doubts about the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate exam:
1. What is the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate?
The HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification is for Cloud Engineers who work in operations, IT, or development and have a basic understanding of the open source HashiCorp Terraform platform. Candidates are aware of the enterprise features available and what can and cannot be accomplished with the open-source solution.
2. Are there any Prerequisite for the exam?
The HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate Eligibility Requirements are:
- Firstly, Basic terminal skills
- Secondly, Basic understanding of on premises and cloud architecture
3. What are the Course Objectives?
The exam covers 9 domains:
- Firstly, Understand infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts
- Then, Understand Terraform’s purpose (vs other IaC)
- Further, Understand Terraform basics
- Use the Terraform CLI (outside of core workflow)
- Also, Interact with Terraform modules
- Moreover, Navigate Terraform workflow
- Additionally, Implement and maintain state
- Next, Read, generate, and modify configuration
- Finally, Understand Terraform Cloud and Enterprise capabilities
4. How much time will be there to complete the exam?
You get 60 minutes to complete the exam.
5. In what language can we take the exam?
The exam is available in English language only
6. What is the type of questions in the exam?
HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate exam questions are in Multiple Choice format
7. For how long is the exam certificate valid?
This exam is valid for a period of 2 years.
8. What is the Exam Fee?
The cost of HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate is $70.50 USD + local taxes and fees.
9. How far in advance do I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
You must reschedule or cancel your exam 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
10. How far in the future can exams be scheduled?
You can book your exam up to three months ahead of time.
11. Can the exams be taken using a Linux operating system?
It will no longer be possible to take a test on Linux after October 2020. Restoring Linux compatibility is a key priority for us, and we want to do it as soon as feasible. To be alerted when Linux support resumes, enter your email in the “Stat Informed” box above.
12. What is the retake policy?
You can take the exam again, but you are limited to three tries each year. In addition, you must wait seven days between exams. Furthermore, after you have passed the test, you will not be able to repeat it.
13. What is a passing score?
HashiCorp does not publish our pass percentage or correct answer threshold.
14. I passed my exam and have my badge. How do I get my certificate?
In Acclaim, your certificate is tied to your badge. Log in to youracclaim.com, go to your badge, click the Share option, and then the printer symbol to find it.
