What is the exam recertification policy?

To maintain active certification status, candidates are required to recertify. The certification remains valid for three years from the date it is earned. What is the exam scoring process?

Google Cloud exams assess whether candidates meet the established minimum passing criteria, providing only pass or fail results. As such, numerical scores are not provided, as they may lead to misinterpretation by the examinee.

Can I retake the same exam if I’m already certified?

You cannot retake the same exam while holding an active certification unless you’re within the recertification eligibility window, which begins 60 days before your certification expires. Attempting to recertify before this period may lead to the following consequences:

  • Your exam result could be rejected
  • You may be decertified from the Google Cloud Certification Program
  • You may be restricted from taking the exam or any other Google exams
  • Google may, at its discretion, terminate any business relationship with you

How long is a Google Cloud certification valid?

All Google Cloud Professional certifications are valid for two years from the certification date.
