What is the Registration policy?
To register for CompTIA CASP+ Exam follow the steps given below:
- Visit the Pearson VUE website.
- First time users- create your account at least 24 hours prior to registration.
- If you’re a returning user, sign in to your account.
- Select your exam, preferred test center and appointment time.
- Complete all other required steps in the registration process.
- Proceed to the payment page to finalize your registration. Refer to the payment methods below.
- There are two primary ways to pay for a CompTIA certification exam:
- Pay with a credit card on the Pearson VUE website during the registration process.
- Pay with an exam voucher purchased from the CompTIA Marketplace as a form of payment on the Pearson VUE website during the registration process.
You can register either for on-site proctored testing or the online proctored way of testing. For the on-site proctored testing you will be choosing a testing center and there will be a supervisor available there to take your exam. And for the online proctored testing you can take the exam as per you ease.
What is the Renewal policy?
The exam is valid for 3 years. After that you have to undergo the renewal process in order to renew your CASP+ certification. You can participate in a number of activities and training programs, including higher certifications, to renew your CompTIA CASP+ certification. Complete CertMaster CE, an online, self-paced CE course, or collect at least 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in three years, upload them to your certification account, and CASP+ will automatically renew. CompTIA CASP+ is accredited by ANSI to show compliance with the ISO 17024 Standard and, as such, undergoes regular reviews and updates to the exam objectives.
What is CompTIA CASP+ Exam retake policy?
In the event that you fail your first (1st) attempt to pass any CompTIA certification examination, CompTIA does not require any waiting period between the first (1st) and second (2nd) attempt to pass such examination. However, before your third (3rd) attempt or any subsequent attempt to pass such examination, you shall be required to wait for a period of at least fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of your last attempt to pass such examination.
How does the exam score are reviewed?
CompTIA monitors the performance of all exams on a regular basis to ensure the validity of exam results. During exam monitoring, CompTIA may classify scores as unclear when there are discrepancies for which there is no reasonable explanation. Scores classified as unclear will not be considered valid and will not be eligible for certification. If it is determined that a violation of the Candidate Conduct Policy has contributed to the classification of indeterminate, CompTIA will also take additional action as laid out in the Candidate Agreement.
What is the process of setting passing scores?
CompTIA exam passing scores are set using statistical analysis and are subject to change. After the exam completion, candidates receive a score report that contains important information regarding the outcome of the exam. However, CompTIA does not publish exam passing rates because exam questions and passing rates are subject to change without notice.
Is it possible to share exam results?
If an employer, academic institution, military or third party has paid for you to take a CompTIA exam or to participate in the CompTIA Continuing Education (CE) program. Then, upon request CompTIA will share your certification status and/or progress in completing your CE requirements with the third party.
What accommodations are provided for candidates with disabilities?

Are there accommodations provided for candidates from non-English speaking countries?
Candidates from non-English speaking countries where a localized version of the exam is not available will have a 30-minute time extension for exams. This is considered as ESL (English second language). During exam registration Pearson VUE, ESL is automatically granted to candidates in eligible countries. The ESL accommodation is for candidates testing in the Canadian province of Quebec.
