BiSL BIM Exam Details

Business Information Management (BIM) Exam Details

The BIM exam comprises a total of 40 questions. All the questions are either multiple-choice or multiple-response questions in which the candidates are supposed to choose from a list of possible answers. The exam duration is 40 minutes. The examination fee is INR 7474. This exam is conducted in the English language. The candidates need to score 65% or more (26 marks) in order to pass the exam successfully. The exam is conducted in both paper-based and online modes. It is a closed book exam.

Registration Process for the BiSL BIM Exam

To register for the BiSL® Next – Business Information Management (BIM) exam, follow the below mentioned steps-

Step 1: Visit the official website of the BIM Exam and select on the option ‘Book An Exam’.

Step 2: You will be directed to a new page, read the instructions carefully, and click on ‘Continue’ to proceed for booking the exam.

Step 3: After clicking on the ‘Continue’ option, you will land in the details page. Fill in all the personal details asked. There are four subsections in this page. Go through each subsections carefully. The first one will ask you to provide all the personal information about yourself. The second subsection is for the candidates who has any special requirements and if so, the evidence of that must be provided. The third subsection is a ‘Self-study Declaration’ in which the candidates need to select from the three options made available to them. The last subsection is for the candidates to agree to all the terms and conditions of the exam and move forward to make the payment.

Step 4: This is the last step for the registration. You are required to make payment for booking the exam successfully. Check all the details to avoid any misinformation. The examination fee is INR 7474. If you have a voucher, you can add the voucher as well before proceeding with the payment. Once, all these steps are done, make the payment and you have successfully registered for the BIM exam.

BiSL BIM Exam Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy

Following are the rules regarding cancelling or rescheduling of this exam-

  • The candidates can reschedule the exam date only once, free of cost, when the change is made within a minimum of 10 working days(Monday to Friday including Bank holidays) in advance of the scheduled exam time/date.
  • If any candidate reschedule the exam for the second time, an administration charge of £54.17 with VAT will be charged.
  • Also, keep in mind that an administration fee of £54.17 plus VAT will be charged to the candidates who will be cancelling the exam appointment outside the 10 working days notice period. The candidate is required to notify APMG-UK in writing or via email the intention of cancelling the exam booking. The administration fee will be deducted from the examination fee paid by the candidate and the balance amount shall be refunded to the credit card within 30 days of the cancellation.
  • Note that, the examination fee will not be refunded if the cancellation is done within 10 working days  (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) of the scheduled exam date.
  • In case of rescheduling the exam booking within 10 working days (Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays) of the appointed exam date, there will be no refund provided. To book a new exam, a fresh registration is required.
