What is the exam format?
- Each module of the Advanced Level Assessment (i.e. Test Manager, Test Analyst and Professional Test Analyst) has an individual examination consisting of multiple-choice questions separated ‘approximately’ in accordance with each chapter’s learning objectives.
- Each question properly answered scores between one and three points, indicating the difficulty, and in order to pass the exam, the applicant must achieve a score of 65 percent

Does everybody take the exact same exam?
No,The questions come from an international pool of questions and are combined differently in such a way that the test itself continually varies while the difficulty level remains comparable. The members of all national boards and the different working groups are actively creating new problems.

When will my result be declared?

Do I have to take a course in order to take the exam?
No,The Indian Examination Board, independent of any courses, will conduct the exam. At any of the locations published on the ITB website, you can take the exam. In order to prepare for the test, courses can be taken, and ISTQB compliant courses are provided by ISTQB approved training providers. In this situation, in accordance with an arrangement it has with ISTQB certified training companies, the ITB will send a representative to conduct the exam immediately after the course.
What does an ISTQB certificate tell me about the skills of a software tester?
The broad understanding of testing acquired at Foundation Level has been expanded by a person with the Advanced Level Credential to enable the position of Test Manager or Test Analyst to be carried out. The skills of the test analyst can be expanded further into the position of technical test analyst.
