There will be 100 scored questions that are mostly multiple choices and there are 25 pre-test questions in Human Resources™ exam.

The exam scores are valid for 3 years.
How to maintain Associate Professional in Human Resources™ certification?
To maintain your aPHR certification, you must earn 45 recertification credits over a three-year time span or retake the exam.

How long it takes to receive the exam result?
Candidates will receive a copy of the exam results report at the testing center and they will be notified within 1-2 business days by Pearson VUE when the official results are available online.
How to schedule exam?
After applying and receiving unique HRCI 9-digit testing ID, you can search for the nearest testing location by viewing the Pearson VUE website. Exam locations may be subject to change. So, check directly with Pearson VUE to ensure you have the most up-to-date location and availability here.
If I got failed, can I take the same exam again?
Candidates who do not pass an exam and wish to take the same exam again must reapply and wait 90 days between exam attempts. And, all exam eligibility requirements and fees will apply. Candidates who fail an exam and want to take a different HRCI exam then, they may apply immediately for the different exam. All exam eligibility requirements and fees apply to this new exam application.
What is the exam cancellation and rescheduling policy?
For Pearson VUE test center appointments, if you need to cancel or reschedule your exam appointment within your 120-day eligibility period, you must do so at least 48 hours before your original appointment. Otherwise, all fees will be forfeited and you will be considered a no-show. There is a $150 fee each time you cancel or reschedule an exam appointment. And for OnVUE online appointments, if you need to cancel or reschedule your exam appointment within your 120-day eligibility period, you may do so up to the time of your scheduled exam appointment. There is no fee to cancel or reschedule an online exam appointment.
