IBM Certified Deployment Professional Exam FAQs

1. What is IBM Exam Retake Policy?

The same Exam or certification may be taken only two times within a 30 day period.
If a certification exam is not completed successfully on the first attempt, there is no waiting requirement before taking the test a second time. However, candidates may not take the same test more than twice within any 30 day period of time.
Additionally, retakes are not allowed after the successful completion of an exam.
A test result found to be in violation of the retake policy will not be processed, which will result in no credit awarded for the test taken. Repeat violators will ban from participation in the IBM Professional Certification Program.
The costs associated for a retake exam is the full regular exam price.

2. What is Special Accommodations Policy?

In partnership with our test delivery provider (Pearson VUE), it is our policy to offer special testing accommodations in conformance with established standards:

In the United States, we conform to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
And, in other countries, we will accommodate candidates in compliance with local law.

3. How will I get my score report?

Sign in to your account at www.pearsonvue.com/ibm using your login and password to view your score report. When you take a test in a Pearson VUE Test Center, you will receive a printed score report from the test administrator before you leave.

4. How the exam scores are calculated?

After you’ve finished your exam, the points you earned on each question are added together and compared to the cut score to see if you passed or failed.

5. I need a special testing accommodation for my test appointment, how do I request one?

You can request a special accommodation by sending an email to IBM at [email protected].

6. Can I pay for the exam at the test center?

Some test centers allow you to schedule and pay for an exam. Please contact the test center to see if they provide this service.

7. What Payment types does Pearson VUE accept?

Pearson VUE accepts:

Master Card, VISA, American Express and JC Bas well as vouchers.

8. If I fail the test, can I take the test again?

Yes. However, if you fail a proctored exam two times, you must wait 30 days (from the date of the first test) before taking it again.

9. I do not have or do not know my Candidate Testing ID. Can I schedule an appointment without it?

You can establish a profile with Pearson VUE and choose the No, I do not have a Candidate Testing ID option if you do not have or know your Candidate Testing ID.

10. What are the languages available for the exam?

The exam is available in the English language only.

11. Where can I find my Candidate Testing ID?

You have a Candidate Testing ID if you have ever taken an IBM Certification or Mastery Test. Your Candidate Testing ID can be found on any prior IBM Testing Score Report or IBM Professional Certification Program correspondence.
