What are Program Requirements?
You must successfully pass the NSE 4 certification exam: Fortinet NSE 4 – FortiOS
NSE 4 exams are available at Pearson VUE test centers. To prepare for the certification exam, Fortinet recommend that you take the FortiGate Security and FortiGate Infrastructure courses. The courses are optional.
What is Certification Validity?
To obtain certification, you must pass the NSE 4 certification exam. the certification is valid for two years from the date of completion.
What is NSE 4 Recertification Policy?
- You can renew your certification by taking the current NSE 4 exam at a Pearson VUE test center.
- Obtaining NSE 7 certification automatically renews your NSE 4 certification, if your NSE 4 certification has not expired.
- Obtaining NSE 8 certification automatically renews your this certification, even if your NSE 4 certification has expired.
How to Enroll in Training?

- If you are a customer or a public user, you must first create an account on the NSE Institute. You must use your company email address to register. You must purchase your training though your local distributor.
- If you are a partner, you must first create an account on the Partner Portal. You must use your company email address to register.

What is Exam Scheduling and Retake Policy?
Test center exam appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment through your Pearson VUE account. To cancel an OnVUE proctored exam, access your online Pearson VUE account to cancel as soon as possible before your appointment time. Refer to your appointment notification emails.
Candidates must wait 15 days between unsuccessful exam attempts.
What is Non-Disclosure Agreement?
You are required to agree to the NDA Agreement (PDF, 9 KB), which is presented at the beginning of your exam. Failure to accept the agreement within the allotted five minutes will result in your exam ending and a forfeit of your exam fees. Please take a moment to review the agreement now so that you are familiar with it when you sit for your exam.
