Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Practice Exam
A Certified Cost Professional (CCP) is created for a seasoned expert with advanced knowledge and technical skills in applying Total Cost Management (TCM) principles and best practices to plan, execute, and manage organizational projects and programs. CCPs are proficient in researching and communicating TCM principles to all levels of stakeholders, both within and outside the organization.
Eligibility Requirements
- Industry Experience: 8 years of industry-related experience, or
- Combined Experience and Education: 4 years of industry-related experience plus a 4-year industry-related college degree
- Technical Paper: Minimum of 2,500 words
- Ethics: Adherence to AACE's Canons of Ethics
Exam Duration
- Exam Duration: 5 hours maximum
- Exam Format: 120 questions (simple multiple-choice and compound scenario questions)

The Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Exam covers the following topics -
- Basic Skills & Knowledge (38 questions)
- Economic Analysis (28 questions)
- Project Management (27 questions)
- Cost Estimating & Control (27 questions)
- Closed Book: Onscreen formula sheets available
- Calculator: Any style of battery-operated calculator is allowed (not provided by the testing center)
Passing Criterion
Passing Score: An overall average score of 70% or higher is required.
The final exam score is the average of all four domains:
- Example: Domain 1: 69% (fail) + Domain 2: 70% (pass) + Domain 3: 65% (fail) + Domain 4: 76% (pass) / 4 = 70% (pass)
- Additionally, CCP candidates must score 70% or higher on the CCP technical paper.
